Barrow Neurological Foundation is an internationally renowned medical center that offers care for people from throughout the world with brain and spine diseases, disorders, and injuries.  Barrow’s mission is to advance the knowledge and practice of medicine in neuroscience through basic and clinical research, education of medical professionals, and innovation in clinical techniques and technology.

The Timothy T. Day Foundation has contributed to the Barrow Neurological Foundation since 1998.

City of Hope is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of people with cancer, diabetes and other serious illnesses. Their mission is to transform the future of health care by turning science into a practical benefit, and hope into reality. City of Hope accomplishes this by providing outstanding care, conducting innovative research and offering vital education programs focused on eliminating these diseases.

The Timothy T. Day Foundation has contributed to City of Hope since 1998.

Community Foundation of Jackson Hole

Old Bill’s Fun Run

Established in 1989, the Community Foundation is the philanthropic focal point in Jackson Hole, serving donors, nonprofit organizations and the community. Old Bill’s Fun Run is their annual fundraiser and the funds are used to feed the hungry, support the sick and elderly, teach kids to read, protect wildlife, build affordable housing, enrich lives through the arts and touch the lives of everyone in Teton County.

The Timothy T. Day Foundation has contributed to the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole and Old Bill’s Fun Run since 1999.

Deerfield Academy

Deerfield Academy is an independent secondary school committed to high standards of scholarship, citizenship, and personal responsibility.  Through a rigorous liberal arts curriculum, extensive co-curricular program, and supportive residential environment, Deerfield encourages each student to develop an inquisitive and creative mind, sound body, and strong moral character.  The Academy prepares students for leadership in a rapidly changing world that requires global understanding, environmental stewardship, and dedication to service.

The inscription on Deerfield’s seal reads: “Be Worthy of Your Heritage.”  It is an all-encompassing identity and set of core values that the community lives by, accorded by a long line of dedicated students and faculty dating back to 1797.  The understanding that tradition, heritage, and history are dynamic forces—not confined to the past—is vital for the realization of Deerfield’s mission.

Being that Deerfield Academy is one of Tim Day’s alma maters, the Timothy T. Day Foundation has contributed to Deerfield since 2005, and specifically likes to fund facilities or programs that enhance physical fitness or entrepreneurial studies.  In 2018, the Foundation funded a group fitness room and hockey puck shooting room in Deerfield’s new athletic complex.

Goldwater Institute

The Goldwater Institute is a leading free-market public policy research and litigation organization that is dedicated to empowering all Americans to live freer, happier lives. The Institute focuses on advancing the principles of limited government, economic freedom, and individual liberty, with a focus on education, free speech, healthcare, equal protection, property rights, occupational licensing, and constitutional limits. The Institute accomplishes real results for liberty by working in state courts, legislatures, and communities nationwide to advance, defend, and strengthen the freedom guaranteed by the constitutions of the United States and the fifty states.

Tim Day was Chairman of the Goldwater Institute in 1997 and 1998, and the Timothy T. Day Foundation has contributed to the Goldwater Institute since 1998.

Grand Teton National Park Foundation

Grand Teton National Park Foundation funds projects that enhance Grand Teton National Park’s cultural, historic, and natural resources and helps others learn about and protect all that is special in the park.  The Foundation also initiates improvements, critical research, and outreach that enrich visitors’ experiences to help create a stable future for Grand Teton National Park.

One of Grand Teton National Park Foundation’s notable achievements was the Jenny Lake Renewal Project that was completed in 2019. The well-loved area’s trails, bridges, key destinations, and visitor complex have transformed into a portal for discovery and now allow people with a wider range of abilities to connect with the park in meaningful, memorable ways. In 2014, the Timothy T. Day Foundation was proud to sponsor the rebuilding of South Cascade Creek Trail, which ascends towards Hidden Falls.

The Timothy T. Day Foundation has contributed to Grand Teton National Park Foundation since 2012.

Harvard Business School

Harvard Business School is the graduate business school of Harvard University.  Its mission is to educate leaders who make a difference in the world.

“Leaders”: Leaders are people who embody a certain type of competence and character—both the competence that comes from the general manager’s perspective and the character to understand the difference between being self-interested and self-centered.

“Make a Difference”: Making a difference means people who create real value for society, and who create value before claiming value.  Harvard Business School graduates provide leadership in all walks of life.

“In the World”: In the world reflects our understanding of a rapidly changing, dynamic environment, and the fact that many of the world’s most challenging issues will require a global perspective.

Since Tim Day is a Harvard Business School graduate, the Timothy T. Day Foundation has contributed to Harvard Business School since 2004, and specifically likes to fund improvements to facilities or programs that enhance physical fitness or entrepreneurial studies. In 2017, the Foundation funded the Tim Day Fitness Room as part of the Shad Hall Fitness Center renovations.

Southwestern Oklahoma State University

Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) is a western Oklahoma university deeply rooted in Weatherford, OK and surrounding communities. The Business Enterprise Center (BEC) on the campus at SWOSU is a regional business center that provides students, employees, entrepreneurs, and local businesses with funds, training, internships and a facility to meet and hold events.

Since Bar-S Foods continues to employ a strong alumni network from SWOSU, the Timothy T. Day Foundation agreed to fund the capital improvements of the BEC in 2018, which was later renamed, The Timothy T. Day Business Enterprise Center.

Valley of the Sun United Way

Since 1925, Valley of the Sun United Way has been uniting diverse partners and bringing together donors, business supporters, non-profits, government, and faith-based communities to build a stronger Valley of the Sun.  To accomplish this, United Way is focused on achieving three Community Objectives:

Since Tim Day and his father, Daivd Day, attended Wesleyan University, the Timothy T. Day Foundation has contributed to Wesleyan since 2004, and specifically likes to fund improvements to facilities or programs that enhance physical fitness or entrepreneurial studies. In 2016, the Foundation agreed to fund equipment upgrades and long-term maintenance of the new equipment in the Andersen Fitness Center.
