Col Henry Dolberry Jr.

Our forty-first recipient, Colonel Henry Dolberry, Jr., completed the AMP at Harvard Business School in October 2023.  Henry currently serves as the Chief of Staff for 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, Okinawa, Japan.  His most recent assignments include Commanding Officer of Marine Corps Air Station Futenma and Commanding Officer of Headquarters Squadron, Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, Okinawa, Japan.  Under Henry’s charge, Headquarters Squadron won the Calendar Year 2016 National Defense Transportation Association’s (NDTA) Unit of the Year Award for superior performance in logistics and transportation.  Previous Staff assignments include Military Assistant at the Office of the Secretary of Defense (Comptroller/CFO), Chief Instructor at Expeditionary Warfare School (EWS), and as a staff member at Officer Candidates School (OCS).  Henry was designated a Naval Aviator in 2004 and began flying the SH-60B Seahawk.  Henry spent most of his time flying the AH-1W Supercobra and has deployed in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM and ENDURING FREEDOM.  Henry is an instructor and an FAA licensed Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) in the UC-35 Cessna Citation.  Henry earned his BA in Political Science from Temple University in 1997, a Master’s degree in Strategic Studies from the Marine Corps War College in 2018, and graduated from the Marine Corps University Senior Planner’s course in 2022.
