Our twentieth recipient, (Captain) Thomas H. Hamrick graduated from Harvard Business School in 2020 with an MBA and as a Baker Scholar. “Hill” served as a human intelligence officer and was deployed twice to Afghanistan. On his first deployment in 2015-2016, Hill led a team of counterintelligence/human intelligence Marines in Kabul supporting Special Operations Joint Task Force – Afghanistan targeting enemy combatants and mitigating threats to friendly forces. He was awarded the Defense Meritorious Service Medal for this deployment. On his second deployment in 2017-2018, Hill served as the aide-de-camp to the Commanding General of Task Force Southwest, a Marine advise and assist task force based in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, and was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal. Hill also received the First Lieutenant Baldomero Lopez Honor Graduate Award as the top graduate from his class at The Basic School. Hill graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Williams College in 2013 with BA degrees in History and Arabic Studies. He is currently the co-CEO of Central Storage & Warehouse LLC, a cold storage company he acquired through his search fund Thomas Street Partners. Hill resides in Milwaukee, WI.
