MajGen David L. Odom

Our third recipient, Major General David L. Odom, completed the AMP at Harvard Business School in October 2012.  An infantry officer and veteran of both Iraq and Afghanistan, David is currently serving as the Deputy Director for Current and Integrated Operations (DDCIO), J-33, The Joint Staff at the Pentagon in Washington, DC.  Throughout his career, David has commanded at all levels, from rifle platoon through task force and brigade.  He has also served on staff at The Basic School, the Infantry Officer Course, the MAGTF Staff Training Program, United States Special Operations Command, and III Marine Expeditionary Force.  David is a distinguished graduate of The Basic School; Amphibious Warfare School; the Marine Corps Command and Staff College (Col Bevan G. Cass Award recipient); the School of Advanced Warfighting (Gen Clifton B. Cates Award recipient); and the Marine Corps War College.  A graduate of The Citadel with a BA in English, David and his wife, Dr. Michelle Trusso (LtCol, USMC ret), have two children.
