Our thirty-second recipient, Brigadier General Jason G. Woodworth, was scheduled to attend the AMP at Harvard Business School in spring 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and protocols set in place, the spring session was canceled. Jason currently serves as the Commanding General MCIWEST-MCB Camp Pendleton. His previous assignment was the Director of Manpower Plans and Policies, Quantico, VA. Other recent billets include serving as the Secretary of the General Staff for HQMC, and as the Commanding Officer of MCAS Miramar in San Diego, CA. He has served in various billets in the FMF as a FA-18 pilot, primarily at Miramar, where he commanded VMFA-323 from 2011-2013. His joint tour was as an Arms Control Inspection team chief with Defense Threat Reduction Agency in Germany, and he also served as a MAWTS instructor in Yuma, AZ. Jason participated in multiple contingency operations during deployments to the Middle East. He is a native of Suffield, CT, attended Colgate University for his bachelor’s, has a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Oklahoma and an MA in Security Studies from King’s College, London.
Jason and his wife, Renee, have three children.
