“Smash” (Col Eric Austin) and “G-man” (BGen (Sel)  Bob Sofge) put together an exciting trip to visit MAG-13 at MCAS in Yuma, Arizona on Friday, February 26, 2016..  A group of 11 Fellows and friends traveled to Yuma to visit MAG-13 and observed some of the unique programs on the Base – including the F35B Squadron (Green Knights), MAWTS-1, and the VMX-22.  Col Marcus “Steroid” Annibale was a great host, the presentations were very impressive, and it is always invigorating to see our sharp and professional Marines in action.  The group also enjoyed themselves over dinner, drinks, and various tall tales at River City Grill and Prison Hill Brewery.

Some of the group returned to Phoenix on Saturday to visit Taser International, hike the nearby mountains, and attend the 13th Annual Friends of Animal Care & Control HERO Awards dinner as guests of Tim and Sandy Day.  Brunch on Sunday morning was held at Wrights in the Biltmore, and then guests headed back home after forging many new memories.
