On March 30, members of the Day Family and Family Office, along with some special Marines and their families and friends, attended a ceremony at the Mt. Soledad Veterans Memorial in La Jolla, CA, to honor these four well-deserving Marines for their military service to our country.

The Veterans Honor Ceremony included a full color guard, presentation of the black granite plaques that will be added to the walls of the memorial, and emotional speeches by Tim Day, Jay Kopelman, and Ira Shapiro that paid tribute to each of our honorees. In addition, each of the honorees received a beautiful patriotic quilt that was presented by members of the Quilts of Valor Foundation. Following the Ceremony, the group attended a celebratory reception at the La Valencia Hotel.

We take great pride in honoring our deserving Marines. While history can sometimes become a distant memory, we never want to forget the incredible service and sacrifice our Marines undergo protecting our Nation.
