A plaque honoring Timothy T. Day’s Marine Corps service was added to the Mt. Soledad Veteran’s Memorial in La Jolla, California, on Saturday, May 3, 2014. A lunch reception was held afterward at La Valencia Hotel on the beautiful grounds overlooking the bay.

The Mt. Soledad Veteran’s Memorial mission is to create a monument honoring veterans who have served our country, as both a unique registry of our military heritage and to educate the public on the contributions of military personnel throughout our nation’s history.

As stated on his plaque, “Tim’s service profoundly influenced his personal traits and character – and deeply instilled the core values of Honor, Courage and Commitment. He remains Always Faithful – Semper Fidelis – and has dedicated much of his life supporting the Marine Corps and brother Marines.”
