On Friday, June 28, 2024, PAWS celebrated its 25th Anniversary at its 2024 PET GALA in Jackson, Wyoming. Many attendees said it was the event of the summer! Nearly 250 animal lovers came out to celebrate while enjoying cocktails and music, followed by a wonderful dinner, a moving video highlighting PAWS social and shelter services, and an auction and paddle raise! One of the delights of the night was the announcement of a $25,000 donation from Lulu’s Fund! It was the perfect night to connect with fellow pet enthusiasts and support a cause that has an immediate impact on the lives of local pets. We are so grateful to our sponsors and the individuals who made our gala such a success!
Since our inception, PAWS has grown from a grassroots initiative into a full-service animal welfare organization serving our three local communities. The PAWS difference lies in our approach. We’ve always understood that when an animal is suffering, there’s often a person on the other end of the leash who needs help, too.
That’s why our social services have been at the core of our mission from the beginning. For the last 25 years, PAWS has been called on to address every local pet-related issue. From neglect & cruelty, to pet over-population, to domestic violence, disaster planning and keeping our trails free of dog waste. MOST recently we stepped in to acquire a local shelter on the verge of closure—PAWS has been here – helping thousands of local pets and people in need.
PAWS tackles animal welfare issues from both ends of the leash by supporting local pet families with financial assistance, and by keeping local homeless pets safe from harm at our shelter.
