HARVARD BUSINESS SCHOOL SHAD HALL TIM DAY FITNESS ROOM

On October 10, 2019, members of the Foundation and the Day Family Office, several MBA Fellows and AMP Fellows, and some Harvard Business School (HBS) faculty and staff attended the Dedication of the “Tim Day Fitness Room” in Shad Hall.  The festivities started with a tour of the new facility which was led by Fitness Director Dana Marcotte. As we toured the space, Dana shared some of the highlights of the fitness room changes as well as the positive reactions received from the members.  The HBS community has been using the new space since September 3rd when they “celebrated” the opening of the Tim Day Fitness Room.  At the end of the tour, the group gathered near the donor plaques and Dean Nitin Nohria shared a few words, as did Tim.  Nitin and Tim then unveiled the plaques. After the ceremony, the group was invited to the Dean’s House for a very special lunch.

Back in 2017, the Foundation agreed to a $5 million capital commitment to fund the renovation of the existing cardio and weight rooms in Shad Hall.  In recognition of this gift, HBS decided to name the fitness area the “Tim Day Fitness Room” for the useful life of Shad Hall.  The HBS community is incredibly excited about the new fitness facility and is certain it will be an integral part of the campus and their community.
