The Animal Adoption Center has big plans in the works that will help ensure its shelter stays in downtown Jackson for years to come. With assistance from Lulu’s Fund, part of The Timothy T. Day Foundation, the nonprofit has obtained new property and hopes to break ground on a new 2,500-square-foot building later this summer.
Animal Adoption Center has rescued more than 3,000 animals in its decade-long existence and has spayed or neutered more than 4,500 as part of its program. The center often has animals that have been abandoned and that were in kill shelters and overcrowded shelters. Those interested in getting involved or giving can visit the organization’s website at AnimalAdoptionCenter.org.
