THE LOVEPUP FOUNDATION

The LovePup Foundation (#LovePup) was founded by Johnjay and Blake Van Es. Johnjay, of Johnjay & Rich, uses his radio platform to create awareness for homeless dogs in our community.

Shelter prevention is a key focus of #LovePup. “A Dog is Forever” is a #LovePup program that helps families keep their beloved pets by paying medical or training bills for dogs in need. The LovePup Foundation also serves the homeless population by vaccinating, altering and microchipping their dogs.

In February 2021, #LovePup opened a shelter to house homeless dogs while they find their forever homes. The LovePup Foundation believes that dogs deserve a happy place to stay before their transition to their new life. The #LovePup shelter is just that!

#LovePup has teamed up with Lerner & Rowe, Safeway and Albertsons to microchip every dog that is adopted at Maricopa County Animal Care and Control. The LovePup Foundation has entered their third year in this partnership and the return to owner rate has increased by 2-3% each year.

#LovePup believes that all shelters and rescues should work together to create greater good. We all have the same goal of helping homeless dogs in our community, so The LovePup Foundation created #LovePup “Family Fest”, which is a family event with popular artists, interactive sponsor areas and a huge adoption center where all rescues are invited to showcase their dogs.
